This is a demo for a song that will be on our fourth album "Erotomania" - we're producing it right now. All that's left is the vocals, but I'm waiting to release it at a time when we can properly tour and promote the album. I'm currently in graduate school until May and Alberto is working so maybe it will come out in 2023 or 2024 when we have some tour dates booked. Alberto isn't sure if he's available to support a tour so maybe we'll need to find a drummer to help us with that. For now, here's a little sample!

The meaning of the song is inspired by Plato's dialogue "Phaedrus".

This guy comes up to Socrates talking about a speech he heard about love. The speech argued love makes people crazy and illogical, so we shouldn't trust ourselves when intoxicated by it. Socrates says the speech is wrong: our minds are like a chariot guided by a light horse (logical, rational) and a dark horse (passionate, love-driven). He says the dark horse and passionate love is what can drag us to heaven, to see perfection, to inspire us in ways logic can't.

This is an over-simplication but it made me feel like passionate love is my dark horse that has helped me create the best kinds of art. Even if it made me feel crazy, I was able to see the ideal, perfect world.

The lyrics about "Recognition" were inspired by Poetics by Artistotle where he says any good story has that twist where the protagonist REALIZES something or FINDS SOMEtTHING OUT. That too in real life is the moment that I feel most drawn to write music
